👋 Hi, I’m Salem

I’m a user experience designer with roots in art, systems, and international collaboration. From Silicon Valley to Tokyo, I’ve designed products end-to-end across cultures, platforms, and teams. My passion lies in solving the right problems—with people in mind—and crafting intuitive experiences that feel as natural as they are thoughtful. Along the way, I’ve grown fluent in tools, workflows, and design systems that support meaningful, scalable work.

How I Work

Whether I’m running user tests, designing mobile flows, or sketching out an interaction on paper, I bring curiosity and craft to the process. I’ve worked across Adobe Suite, Sketch, Figma, Jira, and more—and I adapt quickly to whatever helps the team work smarter. I believe in staying playful and hands-on, whether I’m folding paper in an origami workshop or building out a new design system from scratch.

Beyond the Screen

When I’m not designing digital experiences, I find joy in the tangible. I’ve always been drawn to working with my hands—whether it’s folding origami, sketching ideas in a notebook, or shaping clay into something new. These quiet practices have taught me patience, balance, and the beauty of simplicity—all of which feed back into my approach to UX. I’ve even shared origami through workshops with colleagues, because I believe design is at its best when it brings people together.
